Johnson assumed the role of soil and crops specialist on the NF-1 team in August 2000. Johnson assists producers with soil fertility testing, recommendations and management, pesticide recommendations, integrated pest management, sprayer and planter calibration and variety selection. His areas of interest are erosion control and pesticide application. In 1999, he worked in the Agricultural Research group at the Noble Foundation.
Johnson has more than 15 years experience in plant and soil sciences. He has worked in the Great Plains and the Midwest.
