The Oklahoma Forage and Grazing Council (OFGC) and the American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC). I have been a member of the AFGC longer than I know. Why? Because it is the single best national professional organization dealing primarily with introduced forages (bermudagrass, winter pasture, grazing, etc.) and grazing livestock at both the producer and "professor" level in the U.S.

Now, we give credit to Dr. Larry Redmon, Forage Agronomist, OSU, for spearheading the organizing of the OFGC – a brand new forage and stock management organization in Oklahoma, for all of Oklahoma. But, you do not have to be an Okie to join. The OFGC is also affiliated with the AFGC. The ultimate purpose of both organizations is to be at the forefront in providing management information on forages and grazing livestock to producers, consultants and researchers. Be the first to know.

By being a member of OFGC you reap the whole of benefits of OFGC plus some of AFGC. This includes forage and stock meetings, newsletter, The Forage Leader (AFGC magazine), personal contacts, etc. As a full member of AFGC you reap the full benefits of that group, too. It is tax deductible.

If you grow forage and graze livestock in Oklahoma or close counties adjoining, you need to be an OFGC and an AFGC member. Please feel free to contact the Noble Foundation and we will send you information on how to join.
