  Watershed Protection and Partnerships
 

Projects that teach or promote sustainable practices for how to live, work, and play in the Bay watershed. Projects often involve 1) training of individuals, organizations, local governments, and businesses on watershed protection techniques, 2) involvement of citizen volunteers in the planning and implementation of local activities, and 3) a strong partnership component.

Block 2007 Chesapeake Watershed Forum
The 2nd annual Chesapeake Watershed Forum, October 12-14, 2007, The National Conservation Training Center, Shepherdstown, WV.
Block 2008 Chesapeake Watershed Forum

The 2008 Chesapeake Watershed Forum will be held on October 2, 3, 4, and 5 at the NCTC facility in Shepherdstown, WV. Watch here for updates and registration information

Block Bay and River Sojourns
Since 1990, the Alliance has worked with local river conservation organizations across the Bay watershed to hold week-long paddling and camping trips that celebrate rich history and ecology of the rivers that make the Chesapeake Bay unique.
Block BayScapes
BayScapes are environmentally-sound landscapes benefiting people, wildlife, and the Chesapeake Bay. BayScaping advocates a "holistic" approach to landscaping through principles inspired by relationships in the natural environment.
Block Businesses for the Bay
Pollution Prevention which involves a voluntary team of forward-looking businesses, industries, government facilities and other organizations within the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Block Geographic Information Sciences (GIS)
Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, in partnership with Towson University Center for Geographic Information Sciences, provides additional technological information and tools for local watershed organizations to develop and implement locally supported watershed management plans.
Block Less Toxic Pest Promotion
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a strategy that makes use of the least toxic, most effective method of control for a specific pest.

RestoreCorps is a comprehensive training and volunteer recruitment program aimed at accelerating on-the-ground conservation measures.
Block Virginia Citizen Wetland Education, Outreach and Monitoring Program
The Virginia Citizen Wetland Education, Outreach and Monitoring Program seeks to aid voluntary wetland restoration efforts by educating and engaging the citizens of Virginia.
Block Water Trails
Water trails are recreational waterways on a lake, river or ocean containing access points and day use areas and/or camping sites for use by the boating public.
