Leaders can be made!
Though it's sometimes debated in the literature, we at Colby-Sawyer feel that leaders can be made, developed. Through a variety of different opportunities and programs, the college provides a laboratory for students to develop citizenship and leadership skills.
There are opportunities for students to assume leadership roles with clubs and organizations, through the Career Development Center, in the residence halls, in the classroom, and/or on the playing field. If you choose to assume one of these positions, you will be supported and coached by faculty, staff, and sometimes, your peers.
To supplement these varied opportunities, the associate dean of students and the director of campus activities facilitate The Leadership Expedition Program to help you develop and hone your leadership skills and knowledge.
