Donate to CNPS

Your contributions are appreciated and used effectively. Many options are available.

  • Membership: Join at prestigious and generous elevated levels.
  • Gifts: Donations can be as simple as writing a check to CNPS. Additional options include transferring ownership of stocks and other marketable financial securities. Check with your tax professional for potential tax advantages. People with charitable trusts can specify CNPS as a recipient for funds distribution.
  • Directed Donations: Larger gifts can be directed for use in existing programs such as Plant Science or Education. Donations may also be directed to specific pre-approved projects such as a publication or a land use preservation activity.
  • Workplace: Many companies offer paycheck deduction options to recognized non-profits. See if your employer also provides matching contributions. CNPS is an active member of Earth Share of California, the workplace giving partner that contributes to a network of respected environmental organizations in the state. See www.earthshareca.org for more information.
  • Planned Giving: Charitable trusts, remainder trusts, life insurance policies, wills, annuities, and other forward looking financial structures offer options for contributing to desired causes. For an introduction to these options, read our Planned Giving brochure (PDF 1.1m).

CNPS is an incorporated non-profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible as allowed by laws governing 501(c)3 organizations. Integrity is a foundation for conducting CNPS business. See our Donations Policy (PDF 22k) for information about acceptance of generous gifts. For more information about donating, please contact the CNPS Director of Development.
