Welcome To Stone Laboratory
The Franz Theodore Stone Laboratory is the Lake Erie teaching and research laboratory of the Ohio Sea Grant College Program. Created in 1895 and located on Gibraltar Island in Put-in-Bay harbor, Stone Laboratory is the nation's oldest freshwater biological field station and the Island Campus of The Ohio State University.

- Introductory
- Open to college and select high school students. (Learn more about requirements)
- Upper Level
- For undergraduate and graduate students in biological sciences, education, and natural resources.
- Science Education
- For classroom teachers, non-formal educators, and education majors of junior rank or above.
- Special
- Non-credit workshops open to the public and college students.
