ProcessThe World Aquaculture Society (WAS), the largest professional aquaculture organization with over 4000 members worldwide, is committed to providing information regarding all aspects of aquaculture to any interested person. Training and education are a fundamental part of the WAS mission. We are committed to developing the WAS site as a premier resource for aquaculture information for members and non-members alike and particularly to assist in providing information for those who wish to know more or who wish to follow a career in aquaculture. Part of this initiative is to maintain a database of universities, colleges, and institutions that offer training and/or degree programs in aquaculture. This will allow people to use the WAS website to obtain information on educational opportunities relating to aquaculture and make the WAS website a "one-stop-shopping" experience for aquaculture information.

TrainingThe "Training" section of the web site is devoted to providing links to academic and other institutions or groups who provide education and training in aquaculture or related subjects. Since the WAS wants to ensure that the information on the site is up to date, we urge any university, institution or college interested in being listed on the site to use the form in the "submit training" section of the site. The WAS will then list your institution as a live link so that people can have access to the latest information concerning your institution's aquaculture program and enrollment procedures. If you are looking for information on aquaculture education, or if you provide aquaculture training or education, we hope that this section of the site will prove useful.
