Chronic Disease Cost Calculator

A downloadable tool that generates state estimates for Medicaid spending on treating six chronic diseases: Congestive Heart Failure, Heart Disease, Stroke, Hypertension, Cancer, and Diabetes. The calculator also estimates how much each state spends on treating these six diseases within its Medicaid population.

Communication Campaigns

FruitsandVeggiesMatter.gov
The "Fruits and Veggies – More Matters" initiative encourages the consumption of fruits and vegetables for improved health. CDC developed and maintains the "Fruits & Veggies Matter" site in partnership with federal agencies and other organizations. The Fruit & Veggies Matter Web site provides tips, recipes, and strategies to add more fruits and vegetables into daily eating patterns.

Inside Knowledge: Get the Facts About Gynecologic Cancer Campaign
http://www.cdc.gov/CANCER/knowledge/
CDC, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health, established the Inside Knowledge: Get the Facts About Gynecologic Cancer campaign to raise awareness of the five main types of gynecologic cancer: cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar. The campaign's target audiences include women and health professionals.

National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP)

A joint initiative of CDC and NIH, the NDEP provides a number of diabetes education resources and tools designed especially for health care professionals, school personnel, and business and managed care professionals. In addition, there are materials for individuals and families.

Office on Smoking and Health, Media Campaign Resource Center

The Media Campaign Resource Center (MCRC) provides access to CDC-licensed advertisements developed by more than 25 state health departments, nonprofit health organizations, and federal agencies. The MCRC also offers guidance and technical assistance on how to use the materials.

A health communications campaign designed for general use by state health departments, their partners, and other community organizations.

Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer Action Campaign

Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer Action Campaign informs men and women aged 50 years or older about the importance of having regular colorectal cancer screening tests. Screen for Life has created a suite of educational campaign materials in English and Spanish for patients and health professionals. Print materials, including fact sheets, brochures, and posters, can be viewed, printed, and ordered online. Television and radio public service announcements can be viewed and heard online; transcripts are also available.
