Foot and Mouth Disease
Foot and mouth disease (FMD) is an infectious disease affecting cloven-hoofed animals, in particular cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, camelids and deer.
In August and September 2007, there were eight confirmed cases of foot and mouth disease in a very localised area in south-east of England. Further information about the 2007 outbreak.
If you suspect signs of any notifiable disease, you must immediately notify your local Divisional Veterinary Manager.
