Alaska
Native/Native Hawaiian Institutions Assisting Communties (AN/NHIAC)
AN/NHIAC
is designed to help Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-serving
colleges and universities to expand their role and effectiveness
in addressing community development needs in their localities—including
neighborhood revitalization, housing, and economic development.
AN/NHIAC funds help grantees to design and implement projects
that benefit low- and moderate-income residents, while also
helping to prevent or eliminate slums or blight, or meet other
urgent community development needs that improve the health
and welfare of the community.

HISPANIC-SERVING
INSTITUTIONS ASSISTING COMMUNITIES PROGRAM (HSIAC)
HSIAC
is designed to help Hispanic-serving colleges and universities
expand their role and effectiveness in addressing community
development needs -- neighborhood revitalization, housing,
and economic development -- in their localities. HSIAC funds
grantees to carry out projects designed primarily to benefit
low- and moderate-income residents, help prevent or eliminate
slums or blight, or meet an urgent community development need
in the community where the Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) is located.

Historically
Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)
The
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)
program funds grants that assist HBCUs in expanding their
role and effectiveness in addressing community development
needs in their localities. These needs include neighborhood
revitalization, housing, and economic development that primarily
benefit low- and moderate-income persons. Each activity
proposed for funding must meet both a Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) program national objective and CDBG eligibility
requirements.

Tribal
Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP)
Most tribal colleges and universities serve
remote regions and a growing number of local residents
have come to depend heavily on TCU-sponsored education,
counseling, health, and economic development initiatives.
OUP awards grants through its Tribal
Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP) to benefit
low- or moderate-income individuals, aid in the prevention
of slums or blight, or meet other urgent community development
needs to improve the health and welfare of the community.
Eligible TCUP grant activities include, but are not limited
to, the expansion, renovation, and equipment of their
own facilities.
