tractor applying pesticide The North Carolina Pesticide Safety Education Program's mission is to promote the responsible use of pesticides through educational resources and training. The program is supported by North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service Specialists and Agents. Training covers a broad range of human safety and environmental issues for a state-wide target audience of approximately 21,000 private applicators, 14,000 commercial applicators, and 700 pesticide dealers. Cooperating State and Federal Agencies include the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
