AAB Conference Services

The AAB is able to offer its conference organisation service to anyone in the scientific field.

As a well-established learned society celebrating its centenary in 2004, we have considerable experience in the organisation of conferences and production of scientific publications. With 25 years of experience herself , Carol Millman and her team specialise in the organisation of scientific conferences ranging from one day workshops to large multi-disciplinary residential conferences.

As a small team we offer  a friendly, efficient, tailor-made service - we can do as much or as little as you require.

We have dedicated staff for each area of work and their skills are maintained to a very high standard by continuing professional development. Our services are supported by the latest technology where appropriate.

We can work with you to organise your conference from start to finish or simply provide a booking service, additional support ‘on the day’, or produce publication material for you.

How much will it cost?

As a non-profit-making Registered Charity we aim to service the needs of the scientific community and have only to recover our costs, so we feel confident that we will be able to offer you good value for money.

Because of our tailor-made approach, we

prepare an individual cost proposal for each conference which ensures that you are only charged for the work you need us to do.

We are happy to provide cost proposals free of charge and without obligation.

We are indebted to the Association of Applied Biologists for taking charge of the administration of this meeting (The  Redox revolution: Oxygen Metabolism, ROS and Redox Signalling in Plants, December 2005) and preparing the book of abstracts. The meeting was a great success both scientifically and socially, and much of this would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of Carol Millman and her team in ensuring smooth and efficient organisation both prior to and during the meeting”.

Professor Christine Foyer, Rothamsted Research, Harpenden

“We were delighted with the level of support we got and response to specific issues. It made our job of organizing the meeting much easier.”  Peter Hollingsworth, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for the Systematics Association Conference, August 2007
