NIH Diversity Council's Mission

The mission of the NIH Diversity Council is to promote diversity within the NIH by:

  • Enhancing awareness of diversity concerns across NIH.
  • Raising the most critical issues to the attention of the NIH Deputy Director and the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management.
  • Providing the NIH Deputy Director advice and guidance on policies and programs that address diversity issues.

NIH Diversity Council Vision

A workplace where each individual is appreciated and rewarded for the skills, experience, education and talent s/he brings to the workplace and whose background is utilized to the benefit of the enterprise.
