REPORT: A vigilant person calls the National ANS Hotline and is immediately connected with a live professional representative.
RECORD: A trained Hotline representative records all pertinent information regarding the report into a computerized notification system, which includes a voice recording of the call.
DISPATCH: The reported information is immediately sent via the internet to on-call U.S. Fish & Wildlife Biologists with mobile internet devices.
RESPONSE: A biologist specialized in invasive species will decide how to proceed, possibly contacting the original caller or notifying local experts who can assist with the potential threat.
