Wave Research Laboratory Outreach Program

The O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory strives to expose students of all ages to engineering and research with a newly-developed guided education and outreach program. The program is guided by knowledgeable WRL researchers, faculty, and graduate students. It includes an introduction to basic wave mechanics as well as demonstrations of the wave lab equipment and descriptions of past and current projects.

The program duration is approximately 30-60 minutes, and the WRL will work with teachers to develop meaningful and exciting lesson plans. In addition, please contact us with suggestions you may have regarding the development of our K-12 outreach program.

Interested groups should fill out a tour request. Our education and outreach coordinator will contact you promptly to follow up on your request for K-12 outreach program participation.

Limited parking is available. The WRL is located in Corvallis, OR, approximately 100 miles south of Portland, 45 miles east of Newport, and 35 miles north of Eugene.
