a beginner question

greetings:

i/m new to java so please bear that in mind.

i downloaded the sgt src jar and class jar.

first, when i tried to compiled any of the *.java programs in demo, 
many errors would occur.

when i tried to simply run a java program

[m-r-schaferkotters-Computer:pmel/sgt/demo] schaferk% java JGridDemo
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JGridDemo 
(wrong name: gov/noaa/pmel/sgt/demo/JGridDemo)


so obviously, there is a major defect in my abilities here.

could someone start me down a path to compile the demos and see their 
results?

ps. i/m much better at f90.
