About the Watershed Assessment Tool

The first part of the Assessment Tool is the explanation of the five components above. Understanding the concepts and connections between the five components is essential for comprehensive assessment of watershed health.

The second part are the Watershed Map Tools which display, summarize and compare GIS natural resource data by major watershed boundary.  Prepared mapbooks and the interactive map both display data, access summary tables and describe the status of each component within a selected watershed. Used together with an understanding of the components and their connections, the map tools illustrate information that reflect watershed health.
