Workshop Course Itinerary

      History of herbal use
      The Holistic approach
      Collecting, drying and preserving and storage (wild crafting)
      A walk out to identify herbs and trees in the countryside
      Hands on experience in making herbal medicines
      Including -
         Tisanes (herbal teas)
         Decoctions
         Oils
         Ointments
         Herbal medicines
         Skin preparations.
      (an opportunity not only to watch demonstrations but to get involved and have a try yourself)

      Practical incense making
      A relaxing campfire on the Saturday evening gives an opportunity to experience the incense made and to talk or take part in discussions on the subjects of choice.

      There will be plenty of time for questions and answers, and an opportunity to give a little respect to the land we have worked upon.

      Cost
      Cost of the herb course is £80.

      Please note - the cost of £80 is asked for the course only, accommodation and food offered is free of charge.

       Accommodation
      If you would like bed and breakfast accommodation there are many establishments in the vicinity that can offer this facility, however if you don’t want to find your own accommodation; we have available a sleeping area set aside with communal accommodation under canvas, or you can bring your own small tent. Accommodation is offered free of charge.

      Food
      Saturday lunch and evening meal, along with Sunday breakfast and lunch is available free of charge, or you can bring your own food if you have particular requirements. Food offered is simple, but makes use of local produce which is in season at the time, reflecting the ethos of healthy eating.

      Typical menu –
      Breakfast - cereal, toast, tea or coffee
      Lunch - ploughmans
      Dinner - BBQ or pasta and sauce with salad.
