Toners can do wonders for the complextion. They increase circulation, giving your face a healthful glow, improve skin tone, and reduce wrinkles and enlarged pores--at least temorarily. Toners are often astringents, drawing water from underlying skin levels to the surface. This extra water makes the skin puff up slightly, so lines and pores seem smaller. The illusion, unfortunately, has a "Cinderalla" effect-- ina few hours, the magic wears off as the water is reabsorbed and evaporates. Many commercial toners plump the skin with irritating ingredients that cause a slight inlammation, thus diminishing lines. Some are high in alcohol to help remove the mineral oil using in most cleansers, but we do not use mineral oil or alcohol in ANY of our products.
