Wetlands
To address education, training and technical
needs in the area of wetlands protection and conservation,
the NREC program:
- Facilitates cooperative needs assessment, prioritization
and program planning among agencies and organizations engaged
in wetlands education
- Provides educational programs and materials on wetland
conservation, functions and values, regulations, and best
management practices
- Develops wetlands assessment methodologies and provides
training and technical assistance in their use
- Provides technical assistance to agencies, municipalities
and natural resource professionals
