Website usage

OECD encourages the use of its data, publications and multimedia products (sound, image, software, etc.) presented herein (collectively, the "Material"), for informational purposes only. All contents on this website are protected by copyright.

What can you do with OECD published materials (data, publications and multimedia products)?

You can copy, download or print content for your own use, and you can include excerpts from OECD publications, databases and multimedia products in your own documents, presentations, blogs, websites and teaching materials, provided that suitable acknowledgment of OECD as source and copyright owner is given. You should cite the Title of the material, © OECD, publication year (if available) and page number or URL (uniform resource locator) as applicable.

Please consult the Rights and Permissions section at www.oecd.org/rights for all requests for public or commercial use and translation rights.

Linking to OECD website(s)

In order to promote its work, and because Internet is about linking, OECD encourages a User who maintains an external website to include hyperlinks to www.oecd.org, to any of its satellite website(s) or to any of their pages (collectively "the OECD website(s)"), on that external site without having to ask prior permission under the following conditions:

These hyperlinks must not:

  • infringe OECD's rights, in particular relating to its logo, acronym and intellectual property rights;
  • be used for the promotion of an Organisation or company, or of any commercial products or services.

As a consequence,

  • links to OECD website(s) must appear clearly as such, i.e. with the complete and obvious OECD URL;
  • if you link to OECD website(s), you must refrain from creating frames, or using other visual altering tools, around the OECD pages;
  • the User can upload up to 1,500 words or 2,000 cells (equivalent to 4 tables or graphs) provided that suitable acknowledgement of OECD as source and copyright owner is given. The User must link to the OECD page where the uploaded material was taken from;
  • it is formally forbidden to link directly to Browse-it versions of our books (pdfs hosted on our Online Bookshop). Can only be granted a permission to make a link to the page presenting a book on the OECD main website (www.oecd.org) or our Online Bookshop (www.oecd.org/bookshop), on the condition the OECD URL appears clearly, as specified above;
  • the User is asked, as far as they exist, to use the user-friendly URLs that will be found soon under the Site Map to make a link to the OECD website(s);
  • once a link to OECD website(s) has been created, it should be tested to ensure that it works and meets the above conditions. We would then appreciate being notified via webmaster@oecd.org.

If you have further questions about linking to OECD website(s), please feel free to send us an email at webmaster@oecd.org.

OECD Logo

The OECD logo should not be associated to any event, product or link to OECD website(s) without the prior consent of OECD. Requests for permission to use the OECD logo must be sent to webmaster@oecd.org. To be accepted, the request must be justified and be related to a specific event or product the OECD takes part in (conference, co-editions etc.).

If permission is granted, the OECD logo can be posted on another website, besides a link to the OECD website(s). The permission is only granted for this specific event/product or for this specific linking purpose and must not be used for any other purpose or any longer than required for the allowed purpose.

Rigourous respect of OECD corporate identity (in particular of the recommendations concerning colour and language) is required in the use of the logo. Only the most recent version of the OECD logo should be used at all times.
