BeFoodSafe ProgramOpening a dialogue with customers on things they can do to reduce their risk of foodborne illness is one way retailers can negotiate the current food safety climate and offer their customers something they want and can use.

FMI continues its commitment to the work of the non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education, a government-industry effort to educate consumers about what they can do to reduce risk of foodborne illness. The Partnership, creator and steward of the Fight BAC!® campaign, has created a bold new promotional platform for retailers -- Be Food Safe. FMI member retailers are encouraged to use Be Food Safe for food safety outreach promotions in 2008 and beyond. Click here for more details.
