The Save America's Treasures program of the White House Millenium Council has awarded a grant toward the preservation of sound recordings in the American Folklife Center's Archive of Folk Culture, recognizing these recordings as irreplaceable American treasures. We have raised over $280,000 in matching funds for this grant from private citizens, musicians, and cultural advocates who recognize the value of these audio recordings. To continue this work, we need your help.

To help save America's heritage of recorded sound, send a check or money order made out to the American Folklife Center, with a memo "for Save Our Sounds" and send to:

Library of Congress
American Folklife Center
101 Independence Ave, SE
Washington, DC 20540-4610

Or contact the AFC at (202) 707-5510 or folklife@loc.gov for more information.
