Return to Home PageIn December 1997 the Commission issued the Task Force Report on "Best" Equal Employment Opportunity Policies, Programs, and Practices in the Private Sector." In January 1998, as a result of recommendations presented in the 1997 "Best Practices" Task Force Report, the EEOC Chairman implemented an initiative to identify "Best" employer EEO practices.
This report should be thought of, not as a blueprint, but more as an idea bank that can be drawn upon broadly by one and all. The Task Force report's findings and recommendations are not meant to require employers to adopt certain practices or policies.
