The MMA Help Desk provides technical system support to CMS business partners for the implementation and operation of Medicare Parts C and D. This systems information is provided to assist external business partners with connectivity, testing and data exchange with CMS.

• January 12, 2009 – Important – Revised Plan Communication Distribution Process

Effective Monday, January 19, 2009, CMS will be implementing improvements to their communications process as it relates to regular and recurring notices sent to Plans. Please review the memo in the Downloads section below entitled "Revised Plan Communication Distribution Process" for highlights on the changes and how they will impact information sent to Plans via the MMA Help Desk and HPMS.

Enrollment and Eligibility System Production Calendar

• NEW! (December 30, 2008) - The MMA Production Schedule for 2009 has been updated. A text and color version of the calendar is available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below.

Planned Outages

• January 9, 2009 - IACS Weekly System Maintenance

The IACS System will be unavailable Saturday, January 10th from 5 AM to 1 PM ET due to system maintenance. Additional IACS System maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, January 31st from 9 AM to 3 PM ET. The IACS Community Administration Interface will be unavailable Saturday, January 16th due to system maintenance.

• Due to updates of the CMS search engine the MMA Advanced Search option located in the Related Links Inside CMS section will not be functional for a period of time. CMS intends to have the function available by early January. Pending the completion of the upgrade we have removed the MMA Advanced Search link from the MMA portal. Please direct questions or concerns to the MMA Help Desk.

Regularly Scheduled Maintenance

As a reminder, each Sunday night beginning at 6 pm (ET) through Monday morning at 6 am (ET), the Medicare Advantage and Part-D Inquiry System (Common UI) will be unavailable to Plan users for routine scheduled maintenance.
