Office of Procurement Policy and Oversight (CG-913)

The Office of Procurement Policy and Oversight develops, manages, oversees and evaluates the Coast Guard’s acquisition, contracting and procurement policy, directives and procedures.   CG-913 also manages the Coast Guard-wide Procurement Performance Management Program that includes administering procurement measurement tools, management effectiveness assessments, and delegating procurement authority and responsibility.  

Other areas of responsibility include providing support and expert advice to the Coast Guard Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA) and senior Source Selection Officials (SSO), coordinating Coast Guard wide procurement reporting requirements and conducting studies, pilots and other analyses to improve business practices and effectiveness of Coast Guard contracting activities.
