Abstract:
The level of labour inputs in the production of cucumbers is high; it depends on many factors, in particular: the level of mechanization and organization, the obtained level of yields, and the date of planting and the length of production period.
The distribution of the work time during the course of the year is irregular.
As the short fruited cucumbers of the varieties Skierniewicki, Iwa, Wilanowski, grown in the months February - July on straw bales covered with peat substrate are concerned the labour inputs of rather equalized level are borne only in the months February-June.
In the remaining months the level of the borne inputs is lower but more differential than in the months February-June, or these inputs do not appear at all.
