The BCSFA is the voice of British Columbia's environmentally sustainable farmed salmon industry. The BCSFA is based in Campbell River, a coastal community on north central Vancouver Island, located off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.

Demand for farmed salmon growing.
The international demand for healthy seafood is strong and growing. BC salmon farmers are helping to meet this demand with high-quality, fresh, farmed salmon products that are available throughout the year. BC salmon farmers are committed to raising salmon in a manner that respects and protects the natural environment. The result is tasty and nutritious salmon enjoyed by people around the world.

Salmon farming provides good jobs for BC residents.
In fact, British Columbia farmed salmon is now BC's largest agricultural export. As a result this thriving and innovative aquaculture industry provides direct jobs and opportunities for 2800 B.C. residents and including First Nations. Many of these people live and work in small coastal communities on the west coast of British Columbia and on the coast of Vancouver Island, Canada.

Fish Farm Tours.
In response to increased public interest the BCSFA now offers tours of local salmon farms. Why not come and see for yourself how our fish our raised and learn about the steps we take to protect our environment while meeting the growing global demand for BC salmon. We travel through the spectacular waters of Discovery Passage to one of the operating salmon farms near Campbell River and once on site you will meet and have the opportunity to speak with the farm staff, see how the salmon are fed and cared for and learn about farm management.
