Naomi Campbell has ended her legal tussle with a former maid who accused the supermodel of hitting her and calling her names.

Terms of the settlement are confidential, but a lawyer for the 38-year-old Campbell says both sides were pleased with the outcome.

A lawyer for Gaby Gibson, who worked for Campbell from November 2005 through January 2006, didn't immediately return a message asking for comment.

Gibson claimed in her lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, that the British catwalker also threatened to charge her with theft after being unable to find a pair of designer jeans.

Campbell denied the claims. She was never charged with any crime in the incident Gibson alleged. (AP)

Country star Carrie Underwood has found another sports star to romance, according to reports.

The pretty singer, who formerly dated Jessica Simpson's man, Tony Romo, has been spotted at an Ottawa Senators ice hockey game, fueling rumors she's in a relationship with the team's star, Mike Fisher.

According to Sports Illustrated, Underwood was spotted mingling with members of Fisher's family in a private box at a recent match-up.

Fisher and Underwood reportedly met backstage at one of her shows in Ottawa, Canada, last March.

Depp and Paradis Plan Spring Wedding?

(AP Photo/NBC,Paul Drinkwater)

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp is preparing to wed his long-term partner, Vanessa Paradis, in a secret ceremony in April, according to reports.

The "Pirates of The Caribbean" actor set online gossips into a spin last month after he was spotted shopping for an engagement ring in California.

The actor recently admitted there is only one detail holding him back from marrying the French beauty -- her perfect name.

He explained, "It would be a shame to ruin her last name! It's so perfect -- Vanessa Paradis. So beautiful. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It's like a flat note! But if she ever said, 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second."

And it seems Paradis has given in to Depp's marriage desires. They are planning an intimate ceremony in the grounds of their sprawling French estate in the spring, according to MTV.com.

A source tells the Web site, "They're a very private couple. It's no surprise they'd want to celebrate at their home."

However, Paradis has frequently made it clear she isn't a fan of traditional nuptials, insisting she doesn't understand how getting wed could increase the couple's commitments to each other.

She told Britain's Elle magazine in October, "I love the romance of 'let's get married', but then, when you have it so perfect. ... I mean, I'm more married than anybody can be -- we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."

Bacon Will 'March On' After Madoff Fraud

(AP Photo/Matt Sayles)

Actor Kevin Bacon was badly hit by the $50 billion Wall Street fraud -- he lost almost everything in the scandal.

Bacon and his wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, were named as the latest celebrity victims of the Bernard Madoff securities scam last month.

Former NASDAQ chairman Madoff was arrested on December 8 on charges of securities fraud after allegedly ciphering billions of dollars from his clients in a scam that collapsed when people began asking for their money back.

And although the star's spokesperson refused to release details of how much Bacon and Sedgwick lost in the fraud, the actor has now confessed it cost him everything except his home and the money in the couple's bank account.

But he insists he will not let it wreck his life, and he is already on the lookout for his next blockbuster movie role.

Bacon tells Life & Style magazine, "We'll march on. We have to. There's nothing you can do about it. You can't change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life. I didn't see it coming. I don't have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons."

Ferrell's TV Ad Gets Axe

A controversial ad for Will Ferrell's new Broadway show has been pulled from U.S. TV after millions of outraged Americans complained the promo was too outrageous for its daytime slot.

The funnyman will appear in "You're Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush," which opens in New York next month.

Promoting the show, Ferrell appears onscreen in the advertisement and says, "If you don't watch this, you're a giant D-bag. D stands for 'douche.'"

But after airing the stunt during two popular morning programs, network executives at ABC and CBS caved in to pressure from viewers and pulled the ad, reports the New York Post.

Both networks will reportedly run a set of more tame commercials shot to promote Ferrell's one-man-show.

Hollywood funnyman Jim Carrey spends lonely nights in his hotel room performing saucy online dances for partner Jenny McCarthy.

Carrey hates to be apart from his girlfriend, whom he has dated since December 2005.

And, according to McCarthy, Carrey uses a webcam to keep up their romance when he's away on film shoots.

She tells OK! magazine, "I haven't done any dancing, but I make him do that! It's nice! With the iChat, we're always afraid that there's a third party watching! We're a little bit careful, but it's a great way to have that face-to-face connection! I go online and check him out. I tell him his outfit looks cute!"

Piven Urges Americans To Check Mercury Levels

Actor Jeremy Piven has urged American TV viewers to eat fish with caution and have their mercury levels checked before they become crippled by its effects.

Piven was ordered by doctors to pull out of Broadway play "Speed-The-Plow" last month because his mercury levels were "shockingly high."

Speculation began to surge when the "Entourage" star blamed his rare illness on eating too much sushi, with the play's sharp-tongued author, David Mamet, remarking, "My understanding is that he is leaving show business to pursue a career as a thermometer."

But Piven has continued his defense, appearing on "Good Morning America" today and urging viewers to reel in their love of fish.

He says, "The last thing I ever thought about doing was not completing this run. I've never not completed anything in my life. I'm very proud to say that I've been a workhorse my entire life. ... they pulled me out of this thing and that's the truth.

"I come from a theater family -- you talk about the show must go on -- this is in my DNA. This was my finest moment -- that I had been working for my whole life."

Pleading with viewers, he signs off: "Get your heavy metals tested, please, I beg you. Guys, go to bluevoice.org. You'll learn more information about all of this. It's much bigger than me. We're polluting our food source and it's not a great thing that's going on. Thank you."

The socialite's site, ParisHilton.com, is said to have been hit by a malicious program that attaches itself to the computers of anyone visiting the site.

Any fans using the page are at risk of falling victim to the virus, which can steal their online bank details, according to OK! magazine.

Fergie Surprised By Wedding Sing-along Film

Pop star Fergie was in for a surprise during her wedding to practical joker Josh Duhamel, as the day included a slide show featuring her best friends lip-synching to her "Fergalicious" hit.

Duhamel star spent weeks piecing together the footage after his wife's pals agreed to film themselves singing along with Fergie.

He dimmed the lights after the wedding party had finished eating at the reception and started the slideshow, which featured 30 of the guests at the nuptials.

Reality TV star Stacy Keibler, who was one of the celebrity guests singing along, tells Us Weekly magazine, "To see it come together was hilarious. Fergie was hysterically laughing."

Keibler admits she filmed her bit while taking a shower.

Fergie and Duhamel exchanged vows at a low-key ceremony, held in a Malibu, Calif., vineyard.

Celebrity guests also included will.i.am., Kid Rock and new parents Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell.

Teen pop sensations The Jonas Brothers have reportedly increased security after an unidentified group of fans began running off with their underwear.

During the band's recent tour, the trio reportedly began noticing pairs of boxer shorts disappearing from their dressing rooms and initially passed it off as a gag.

But when notes began to turn up in the guys' garment bags proclaiming: "Your undies are safe with us. ... The Undie Snatchers!," the brothers are said to have hired more security staff to keep their possessions safe.

According to the National Enquirer, all guests including crew, press and friends, must now be escorted to the Jonas' dressing rooms backstage.

Winslet: 'I Don't Feel Like A Star'

(AP Photo/MJ Kim)

Kate Winslet has banished the myth she is a pampered Hollywood star, because she only feels glamorous when attending red carpet events.

The British actress, who picked up two Golden Globe awards at the glitzy prize-giving on Sunday, doesn't consider herself in the same league as her A-List contemporaries, branding her position as one of the movie industry's leading ladies simply as a "hat that you wear."

And Winslet insists she doesn't want the luxurious life film fans expect her to have, because her priority is to be a good mom to her two young children.

She tells In Style magazine, "I don't feel like (a movie star) in my life at all, and I don't particularly think I behave like one. I don't have my own plane. I don't have a chef or a trainer.

"To me, you're a movie star only during the time when you're at the Academy Awards or at an important glamorous event. It's very much a hat that you wear, and as soon as the event's over, that hat comes off. I'm back to being me and being Mummy, and that's my priority."

But Winslet admits she is susceptible to some of Hollywood's perks.

She adds: "Literally, the one maybe celeb-y thing I do is the occasional facial. That is the only indulgent thing, where I just lie there and relax for an hour. You can't answer the phone. You can't get up and make soup. You've just got to lie there and have somebody make you feel nice."
