Parks & Forest IPM

IPM tactics and strategies exist for parks and forests whether they are public or privately managed.

The National Park Service (NPS) has installed IPM in the management of all resources on NPS lands including concessions and leased properties. Based on scientific research, technology, monitoring and networking, IPM is structured on facts and actual "hands on experience in the field". IPM strategies are constantly improving and changing as more and more details are learned about the pest organisms involved.

For questions regarding IPM in the National Parks, contact Wayne Millington, National Park Service Northeast Regional IPM Coordinator or see the NE Region Pest Page.
