What's Not Included?
"Inert" or "other ingredients" are any substances other than the active ingredient that are intentionally added to the pesticide product. Federal law does not require that the name of the inert ingredients be listed on the product label. Since this information is not publicly available, the database does not include information on the cancer risk of inert ingredients contained in pesticide products registered for use in New York State. This database only contains information on the cancer risk of the pesticide active ingredient(s) in the turf grass pesticide product.
For more information on inert ingredients, see this Ribbon Newsletter article on inert ingredients.
