1998 Annual Report on Marijuana Use Among Arrestees

April 1999
The 1998 Annual Report on Marijuana Use Among Arrestees discusses use of marijuana among arrestees from cities participating in the Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring Program (ADAM). The report analyzes data for both male and female offenders. Charts summarize regional use of marijuana in conjunction with other drugs (including methamphetamine, cocaine, and PCP) and outline use among six age groups. Findings from 1990-98 show increasing use among young offenders, with a "clear domination" of use by arrestees age 25 and younger. The 1998 data include information from 13 new sites added to the ADAM database this year.
