Help Sustain ASAP’s Work

When you give to ASAP, you make it possible for us to strenghten the economy and preserve mountain heritage by creating and expanding a food system that is locally owned and controlled in Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachians. Appalachian family farms are essential to rural heritage, the regional economy, and the development of a sustainable local food system.

Help us:

- increase access to fresher, better tasting food

- assist local farms so they can stay in business and preserve the values of rural communities

- protect the natural beauty of our mountains by preserving farmland

- and strengthen the local economy by supporting local, family farmers and by keeping the mountains beautiful so visitors will come and support our businesses.

Join us as an ASAP Sustainer for as little as $50. When you join at this level or higher, you will receive a gift, our way of saying thank you for supporting family farms.

Donations can be mailed to:

Corporate Sponsorships

Gifts of Securities

Donating appreciated stock to ASAP benefits both the donor and the ASAP mission.

The donor receives two tax-related benefits.First, the appreciated value of the donated stock is not subject to capital gains taxes.  The tax savings from donating appreciated securities over cash can be significant.   Second, the donor can deduct the fair market value of the stock as a charitable contribution (subject to IRS rules).

ASAP can sell the stock and put the money quickly to work to help our mission. (As a non-profit group, we're exempt from capital gains taxes.)

Please contact us at (828) 236-1282.

Donations are Tax Deductible

ASAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Financial information about this organization and a copy of its charitable solicitation license are available from the NC State Solicitation Licensing Branch at (919) 807-2214. The license is not an endorsement by the state.
