Welcome The New England Rural Health RoundTable (NERHRT) is a non-profit, membership-driven organization composed of a diverse group of individuals and organizations committed to improving health and health care throughout the rural New England communities. The RoundTable was established in 1997 with funding from the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and serves as a regional rural health advocate for Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Our Board of Directors includes members from each of these states. Recent News/Events Fall 2008: Rural Children Less Likely to Live in Married Couple Families -- A new fact sheet from the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire finds that the percentage of rural children living in married-couple families has dropped below that of children in metropolitan areas. November 14, 2008: NH Pre-Med Students Get Taste of Rural Medicine -- NH state university system pre-med students spent the day at Dartmouth Medical School as guests of the Dartmouth Rural Health Scholars program. November 5, 2008: VT School District Receives $94,000 for Mobile Dental Equipment -- Children in the Orange-Windsor Supervisory Union (VT) schools will soon be able to receive dental care at the five schools in the district.
