This report analyzes the impact of the Alaskan oil and natural gas provisions of H.R. 4 and S. 1766. The estimated effects of the provision in H.R. 4 proposing crude oil production in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and the provision in S. 1766 concerning the construction of a pipeline bringing Alaskan natural gas to the Lower 48 States are presented.
