Collaborations

The Museum collaborates with many organizations to educate the public about developments in science and engineering.

Science Education Partnership Award Program (Collaboration)

Multimedia coverage of nanomedicine research is supported at the Museum of Science by a grant from the Science Education Partnership Award program of the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Research Resources. For more information, contact the project director, Carol Lynn Alpert, calpert@mos ... (details).

Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (Collaboration)

The Center for the Science of Nanoscale Systems and their Device Applications is a National Science Foundation Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center. It is headquartered at Harvard University, and includes as major partners M.I.T., the University of California at Santa Barbara, and the Museum of Science, Boston ... (details).

Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net) (Collaboration)

The Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network ((NISE Net) brings researchers and informal science educators together to inform the public about nanoscience and technology. As nanotechnology develops, there is an increasingly urgent need for a science-literate public, a technologically adept workforce, ... (details).

Measuring Vegetation Health (Collaboration)

Healthy plants are prime indicators of a healthy environment overall. By measuring the health of plants, we find the environmental conditions that impact the health of all organisms, including humans. Plants are like "green canaries"; if they die, other organisms will soon suffer also. Through ... (details).

Exploring Life's Origins (Collaboration)

This project uses molecular illustration and animation to help describe research and theories on the origins of life on Earth. It includes live presentations on the Gordon Current Science & Technology Center stage, an interactive Exhibit Halls kiosk, and the Exploring Life's Origins website. (details).

Center for High-Rate Nanomanufacturing (Collaboration)

The Center for High-Rate Nanomanufacturing (CHN) is a National Science Foundation Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center. It is based at Northeastern University, the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, and the University of New Hampshire. The center partners with the Museum of Science, Boston ... (details).
