Agriculture Day Draws nearly 400 to Capitol Hill
Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin played host to 370 students, parents and friends of agriculture Wednesday at a breakfast at the department and an awards program at the capitol.
Commissioner Irvin along with Gov. Sonny Perdue and Miss Teen Georgia Cotton, Gina Stanfield, presented medals, certificates and cash awards to essay and photo contest winners highlighting “Agriculture - Keeping America Moving.”
One art winner of this year's Agriculture Day will be featured on the Ag Brochure!
