Study may show that a new corn ethanol plant in northern Illinois did not significantly affect the amount of corn grown, or the amount of acres growing corn in the surrounding area.

Land use practices for the corn that was grown, such as no-till farming, significantly affected the total global warming impact of the ethanol produced.

Presented by Dr. Steffen Mueller of the University of Illinois at Chicago.
