How to add events

Share events related to sustainable agriculture on the ASAP site by adding an event. Some examples of relevant events include
  • Organic production conference
  • A local food cooking class
  • A sustainable agriculture symposium

How?

Go to your folder (found easily on the personal bar)



On the global bar click add item. A drop-down list of options should appear. Click event.



Tell us about your event


Once you click it , you should see a form for creating your event



Some of the most important info to add is:
  • Title: what is your event called
  • Event start and ending date: make sure you edit both, the Plone will reject the event if they are inconsistent
  • Event body text: edit like any other page, or copy and paste from a word document or e-mail
  • Event type: classify your event with keywords so it can be easily found
Once you are done, click save

Publish

In order for your event to show up in the calendar, you need to submit for publication. To learn how to do this go to How to Publish.
