The American Red Cross is a non-profit humanitarian organization that relies on the generosity of the American public. The Red Cross has a zero tolerance policy toward fraud, waste and abuse. We rely on your eyes and ears. If you suspect fraud you may report it 2 ways.
- You can contact our Concern Connection Line which is a 24-hour, confidential and anonymous, toll-free line that provides American Red Cross staff, volunteer and members of the public a way to report concerns or questions regarding potentially illegal, unsafe or unethical conduct. That number is 888-309-9679.

Examples of some issues that should be reported include:

- Conflicts of interest
- Unsafe situations
- Mismanagement
- Any actions that violate the Red Cross Code of Conduct
The generosity and trust of the American public allows the American Red Cross to carry out its lifesaving mission in communities across the nation and around the world. Unfortunately there are some people willing to take advantage of the kindness of others by creating fraudulent materials using reputable names like the Red Cross to gather credit card information and other personal details. Office of the Corporate Ombudsman
The Ombudsman's Office provides a safe place for the entire American Red Cross community to voice concerns. As a neutral and independent resource, the office works with people inside and outside of the Red Cross to promote fairness and foster effective problem resolution. You can contact the office regarding individual or systemic concerns surrounding the ability of the Red Cross to accomplish its mission. To schedule a confidential appointment, call (202) 303-5399 or use the toll free number (1-866-667-9331).
Note: The Ombudsman Office does not accept formal notice of claims on behalf of the American Red Cross.
