Details: Dr. Timothy Block, director of botany at University of Pennsylvania’s Morris Arboretum, will discuss the natural history of Pennsylvania’s flora and how the fields and forests have been influenced by Native Americans, European settlement and more recent developments. He’ll also talk about how the Pennsylvania Flora Project at the Morris Arboretum goes about tracking changes in flora and providing information on plants to researchers, students, land managers and the general public through print and electronic resources. He is also the co-author of “Trees of Pennsylvania” and “The Plants of Pennsylvania,” which will be available for purchase. Free. Pre-registration is not required
