blackSAF Volunteers Needed

For service to the Armed Forces, (SAF) The Red Cross serves as the primary emergency communications link between military families and service members around the world. If an area resident needs to reach a military family member concerning a birth, death, medical emergency, change in child care arrangement or other family-related crisis, Red Cross staff and volunteers verify and deliver the information to the service member.

Our local volunteers make this emergency communications link happen by agreeing to receive phone calls one or two nights a month from families, and then delivering or verifying the information into the communications systems operated by the American Red Cross. The link happens by phone or by the internet.
