     Darrell Aiken scored 16 points and Milton Meadows added 15 more to lead the Fort Valley State University Wildcats to a 67-65 win over the Golden Rams of Albany State University.  Fort Valley State is now 5-5 overall, 5-2 in the SIAC.

     Fort Valley State dropped a close game to the Dragons of Lane College on the road in Jackson, Tenn.  With the loss, FVSU falls to 4-5 overall, 4-2 in the SIAC.  Lane improves to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

     Frankfort, KY-Desmond Williams scored 24 points and Martrez Scott added 18 more to lead the Fort Valley State University Wildcats to an 86-76 win over the Thorobreds of Kentucky State.  FVSU improves to 4-4 overall, 4-1 SIAC while KSU drops to 2-5, 1-5.

     Last year, Fort Valley State University adopted Fort Valley Middle School as part of an agreement signed by FVSU President Dr. Larry E. Rivers and former FVMS Principal Quentin B. Green. This year, the first anniversary of that landmark pact has been celebrated during the week of December 8-12 with various guest speakers from the University as well as some departments making presentations. One of those departments making a contribution to the effort was the FVSU Department of Athletics.

     The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its “Players of the Week” in basketball for games through Dec. 6. For the first time this season, Fort Valley State was represented thanks to the play of guard Martez Scott.
