  • 3-bedroom, 1-bath semi-suites, each with kitchenette

The village comes complete with an amenities building, which includes a convenience store and a movie theater.

  2. Where is the Housing & Residence Life Office located?
    The office is located in the Wildcat Commons Clubhouse which is located directly north of the Health & Physical Education building. It is the only one story dwelling of the six new buildings at Wildcat Commons. The entrance to the building is located on the north side of the building facing the Courtyard.
  3. What are the main office hours for Housing & Residence Life?
    Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-5:30PM
  4. How can I apply for Housing at FVSU?
    Complete the application on line at www.livewildcatcommons.com or print out a copy from the FVSU website and fax to 478-825-6149. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Fort Valley State University.
  5. Is there an application fee for applying for Housing?
    Yes, there is a $200 non-refundable application fee that must be paid to the Cashiers Office either by calling 478-825-6433 for payment arrangements or by logging on to the banner system by accessing it with your student ID. Also checks or money order can be mailed to Wildcat Commons attn. Cashiers Office, 1005 State University Drive, Fort Valley State University Fort Valley, GA 31030.
  6. What are the different housing options that are available?
    In Wildcat Commons, there are 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom or 4 bedroom & 2 bathroom apartments for upperclassmen (30+ hours) or there are 3 bedroom & 1 bathroom, 4 bedroom & 2 bathroom semi-suites (no living room) or 4 bedroom & 2 bathroom suites for freshmen. In Traditional Housing includes double occupancy rooms which are leased with single occupancy; there are communal bathrooms on every floor.
  7. Am I required to obtain a meal plan?
    All freshmen and residents in Traditional Housing are required to obtain a 19-meal plan. Upperclassmen with full kitchens can opt for one of 3 different meal plan options; 19 meals, 15 meals or 7 meals a week.
  8. If there is an emergency after hours, who do I contact?
    The Resident Director for Wildcat Commons is Mr. Hosea Lewis (478-825-6100). The Resident Director for University Housing is Jimmie Reed (478-825-6321). You may contact any of the above in an emergency after hours and on weekends. Also, Campus Safety can be contacted at x6211.
  9. How do I handle maintenance issues?
    At the front desk of every building, there are maintenance requests forms. Complete the form in its entirety and they are picked up and handled daily by the Maintenance Department at Wildcat Commons & by Plant Operations at University Housing.
