The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness is committed to supporting the Office of the President, Academic Affairs and the university community by providing timely and accurate data and support in developing initiatives and programs to lead Kentucky State University, to renewed excellence on all forefronts.

Description of major projects

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness assesses and reports on the effectiveness of university units. In collaboration with the various institutional units, the office provides analysis and recommendations to improve the effectiveness, productivity and value added in accordance with the university’s mission.

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness surveys a number of groups throughout the year, including alumni, employees, faculty and graduating students.

The office reports institutional data to numerous external agencies. Significant reportage is sent to CUPA (the College and University Professional Association) and IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System). Other pertinent projects include the annual KSU Fact Book, KSU Quick Facts, faculty evaluations and numerous internal and external data requests.
