NCPH Privacy, Return and Security Policy
Information Collected
When filling out a NCPH membership application, you will be asked to provide personal information such as your address, phone number, and email address as well as demographic data. Once you have filled out a membership application, you will have the option of paying securely online or via fax, telephone, or mail.
Use of the Information
We use the information you to submit in order to provide you with the benefits and services of NCPH membership and to help NCPH staff and committees shape the organization's programs and track developments within the field of public history. This information is for internal use only and is not shared with third parties.
Security
Everything you provide to NCPH is securely accessed and stored. The NCPH website is protected under the IUPUI security system, Synthax, as well as the security system Thawte through our database provider, MemberClicks. All financial transactions occur through MemberClicks in conjunction with Paypal, which is protected behind a firewall to deter unauthorized use.
Privacy
NCPH members can rest assured that information they provide will not be sold or distributed to a third party. All private and financial information is securely stored in our Executive Offices. Additionally, you will be able to access your profile though a password protected site. This information is set to PRIVATE, unless otherwise authorized by the user.
Refunds
Refunds due to an error on our part will be processed immediately. Refunds for annual meeting registrations are subject to a $10 processing fee, and requests must be received in writing or email at least ten days prior to the start of the conference. Refunds for memberships/subscriptions will be granted for the prorated amount of the membership/subscription remaining in the year. Proof of payment (copies of front and back of canceled check or copy of credit card statement) may be required. We will normally send your refund to you in the same manner as the original payment (i.e., checks will be issued for payments by check, and credit cards will be credited for payments by credit card). Please allow 3-4 weeks for your refund to be processed.
Changes
