Tsunami Information Statement issued 01/10/2009 at 5:08PM PST
At 5:06 PM Pacific Standard Time on January 10, an
earthquake with
preliminary magnitude 3.7
occurred 40 miles/64 Km south of Barstow, California.
The magnitude and location are such that a tsunami WILL
NOT be generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued
for this event.
The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information.
Further information will be issued by the
United States Geological Survey
or the appropriate regional seismic network.
