Starting an Application

If you are interested in applying for funding from NIJ under one of the current solicitations, we recommend you begin with these steps:

1. Read the solicitation document carefully.
2. Review NIJ Guidelines for Submitting Applications (pdf, 17 pages) and Frequently Asked Questions.
3. Review 'Get Started' on Grants.gov to learn more about Grants.gov application procedures and requirements. Unless otherwise noted in the solicitation, you must submit your application through Grants.gov.
