Transportation Working Group
In 1994, the U.S. Department of Energy Nevada Site Office
established the Transportation Working Group for the U.S. Department of
Energy’s waste disposal program at the Nevada Test Site.
The purpose of the Transportation Working Group is to consider
transportation, and related issues associated with the ongoing
low-level, mixed low-level and transuranic radioactive waste activities
at the Nevada Test Site, and to foster planning and coordination among
generator sites and the U.S. Department of Energy Nevada Site Office.
