Source data and
codebooks from four agencies within the U.S. Department of Justice: BJS,
the
National Institute of Justice, the
Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and
the FBI,
as well as that placed by individual researchers in the criminal justice
field, are available for downloading at no cost.
Online tabulations
are available for some datasets using the Data
Analysis System.

Federal
Justice Statistics
Resource Center (FJSRC)
The Federal Justice
Statistics Resource Center provides on-line access to the BJS Federal
Justice Statistics Program (FJSP) database. The FJSRC database includes
suspects investigated by U.S. attorneys, defendants prosecuted in the
Federal courts, defendants sentenced pursuant to the Federal sentencing
guidelines, offenders supervised under pretrial release, probation, parole
and supervised release, offenders incarcerated in Federal prisons, and
offenders appealing some aspect of their case. Through the FJSRC, users
may generate customized statistics and download datasets for more detailed
analysis.
